Day: 19th January
Time: 2:30 PM SLT
Artist: VLB (return engagement at the Opera house)
Virtual Live Band (VLB) is a band consisting of 5 members from 3 countries, and 5 different locations.  (1 member in Germany, 1 in the UK and 3 in different locations throughout the US.)  They describe their style as bluesy rock.  Almost all of their songs are originals, with an occasional cover thrown in to the mix.
VLB uses a program called Ninjam to sync all of the streams.  Each member streams the individual stream to a server in Germany, where it is syncronized and relayed to SL as one sound. This tecnique adds to delay significantly and makes it difficult to play together "in sync".  In order to communicate during a performance, they have a text chat room inside Ninjam, where they must type their internal communications. It takes a lot of practice to pull off this fantastic show!

Day:20th January
Time: 3PM
Artist: Heath Elvehjem
People like to call Heath a new age pianist.

New age piano? What’s that, you might ask? Most people haven’t the slightest clue either, to tell the truth. Some people say Yanni. Some people say Jim Brickman. Others say George Winston. So who’s right? Some say new age piano is a mix of classical and jazz styles. Others call it contemporary instrumental music. Some think it implies religion or philosophy, others not so much.

So what do you do with a guy who cites his beginnings with Yanni, Jim Brickman, and similar pianists, but plays like Bruce Hornsby, Marc Cohn, or Billy Joel at times? How do you sum up someone whose compositions soothe the soul and rock the house, all at the same time? How do so many pianistic influences come together in one bag?

That's where Anthem comes in.

Still trying to discover the meaning behind new age piano and life, Heath has reached deep into his musical soul to present ten brand new compositions.
Journey to Heath's home state of Louisiana in the fun filled piece Amite. Feel the warmth of hospitality course over you as you think of good Cajun cooking, New Orleans jazz, and coffee and a Louisiana sunset.
Relive a moment with an old friend in the poignant and moving piece Reunion.
Chase the night and live to see the Coming of the Dawn. Feel the warmth of the sun and the life surrounding a drive on Louisiana's North Shore in Chasing the Sun.
Lose yourself in the rhythms of Passion Dance.
And that's only the beginning.
Heath's latest release takes you on a myriad of journeys, and will hopefully leave you breathless in its wake. Expect songs about living life, and taking chances you never even thought possible.
Relevant details aside, it is a sure thing that this pianist loves to tell stories, and one can often find him entertaining the audience with tales about his own music or cheesy anecdotes. Whether entertaning a crowd of fifty online in Second Life or doing a live performance along the Gulf Coast, Heath is positive you'll be celebrating life with him alongside the music of Anthem!

Day:26th January
TIme: 1PM SLT
Artist: Hep Sheperd
The story is simple-This New Years Eve (12-31-2006) I was in the English countryside and ended up playing a small show with my friend Chloe (she is a classical violinist), at a small place called Foxholes. The reception was so positive that when I returned to NYC I decided to leave my office job (still a little freaked out about that one) and pursue my passion. For the most part I only perform songs that I have written the music and words for. I play an honest mix of acoustic rock and melodic folk. Songs I have written include, "Your Ways", "Phases" and "Last Goodbye". His music is soothing, lyrically provocative and melodically sing-a-long-able.

Time 2PM SLT
Artist: CAntell Mitzer
Can'Tell is not a usual artist that you can categorize. Her style goes from rnb, funk, to soul and jazz, just a few to mention. Growing up being surrounded by music, she developed her love for music at an early age. As a baby, she would already sing-a-long with the radio, before she could even start to talk.

When she started dealing with the music industry, she always wanted to make music which she would also consume. She didn't want to be "made" by anyone telling her how to sing, dress or perform. It was important for her to be herself and to keep her own real personality, than a "made" one.

For this reason, she always stayed true to herself, especially to her music. Her versatility helped her explore music, by experimenting on different styles. It was all a learning process for her, which helped her develop her skills in singing, writing and later on in producing.

All songs released on www-cantell-music.com, www.myspace.com/cantellmusic and performed in Second Life are self-written, composed, produced and performed by Can'Tell.

Day: 29th December
Time: 2:30PM SLT
Artist: Forshythe Whitfield
Caught somewhere between the dirt roads and the juke joints of the Mississippi delta, Forsythe Whitfield was born singing the blues. He came into this world crying and he carrys the torch for other lonely souls wherever he goes.
His music is a mix of piedmont style picking and delta slide guitar. He mixes his masterful slide with a raw sense of humour and solid mature songwriting. Preferring to work without the trappings of modern musical performance he creates all his music on an old resonator guitar with a bottlneck slide to sing harmony with him.
The man behind Forsythe Whitfield has been a professional blues player in Canada for over a decade now playing thousands of shows all across the nation. He has logged more time in a car than he would care to admit and has visited every small town in Canada carrying his message with him.

Artist: Dann Numbers
name in RL: Dann Russo
www.dannrusso.com
www.myspace.com/dannrusso
www.sonicbids.com/dannrusso
Bio (from www.sonicbids.com/dannrusso)
The lights go down, the crowd gets up and everybody starts to sing as onto the stage steps the next acoustic prophet of Rock and Soul.
Dann Russo pours rock, blues, country, gospel and every other type of real down-home music into his performance like the sweat that pours from his brow. He doesn't strum - he beats his guitar, wrenching emotion out of it. He doesn't sing - he energizes crowds with his sometimes gruff, sometimes gravelly, sometimes sweet voice.
Often backed by The Whisky, a harmony-violin-guitar-drum-keyboard-driven group of five, but also when on his own, Dann is a force to be reckoned with, a "soon to be phenomenon" (NorthEast In-Tune Magazine) with "rock-and-roll abandon" (Newark, NJ Star-Ledger).
As a solo performer and with The Whisky, Dann has become a regular in clubs, coffeehouses and theaters of Boston and New York.
He recently has become a fan favorite in the on-line world of Second Life (http://www.secondlife.com) as Dann Numbers, playing weekly shows as well as special events, streaming from the confines of his basement to computer speakers around the world.
